Student Planner Campus & IT Handbook Computer and Network Services - Wireless Registration WIRELESS REGISTRATION AND SETUP - MAC Connecting to wireless via AirPort on the Macintosh (OS X) 1. Open System Preferences (you can find this in the Dock or under the apple menu).
2. Click on Network.
3. Double-click on AirPort, or choose AirPort from the Show menu.
4. Under the AirPort tab, make sure that Show AirPort Status in Menu Bar is checked and then write down your AirPort ID.
5. Click on the AirPort Status icon in the menu bar and turn on AirPort if it is not already on.

7. Back in the Network system preference pane, make sure to choose Automatic under “By Default, join:”
8. Once an AirPort ID (MAC address) has been obtained, it needs to be registered on the Internet by going to the website http://secure-server.uc.edu/UCit/Products/ISClient as shown in the below picture. The screen prompts for a username and password. Enter the required information. (Figure 19)
