The mission of Student Affairs and Services is to enroll students with
diverse backgrounds and abilities and to assist them to reach their full
potential. The Division works in partnership with faculty, staff, and the
surrounding community to enhance student learning inside and outside the
classroom. Together we place students’ needs first while making UC a more

ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Enrollment Management includes University offices primarily concerned with
providing services for the recruitment and retention of students and working
to coordinate these activities in the academic colleges and departments.
Enrollment Management offices work together to provide seamless services to
students for academic support, admissions, financial aid, orientation,
registration, research and assessment, student records, and OneStop

OFFICE OF THE UNIVERSITY OMBUDS
The Ombuds and staff respond to the concerns of the university students,
faculty and staff. We are a confidential, neutral and independent office. We
investigate complaints, refer problems to other university offices, and help
to resolve disputes informally. We also offer mediation services and

STUDENT LIFE
The Student Life Department creates opportunities that promote student
learning and development through an integrated approach that includes both
curricular and co-curricular experiences. Student advocacy is the primary
focus of the Student Life Department as it strives to identify and respond
to the educational, developmental and service needs of all students.

STUDENT SERVICES
Learning is an integrated concept that occurs in academic and a variety of
diverse settings. Our major responsibilities to students are to:
- Identify and respond to their educational, developmental, and career
needs
- Provide them with the attitudes and skills that lead to success in
and outside the classroom
- Encourage self-awareness and individual exploration and personal
responsibility
- Promote diversity, civility, and civic involvement
- Promote purposeful and healthy interpersonal relationships; and
- Promote values that enhance character development.
The offices in the Department of Student Services include Academic
Excellence and Support Services, the Career Development Center, Center for
